Although the Beehive at White Waltham, Berkshire, is a new entry at number 14 on the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs list 2016, it’s not a new discovery.
Head chef and owner Dominic Chapman, recently a contestant on BBC 2’s Great British Menu last summer, turned heads shortly after launching the Beehive with his simple modern dishes.
Those who eat at the pub, which sits opposite White Waltham’s cricket field, will find that most mains cost less than £20 and include dishes like linguine of wild mushrooms with courgettes, artichokes, ricotta and Parmesan cheese.
