Welcome to The Beehive newsletter. I cannot believe that we are already in the run up to Christmas! Our Christmas Party Menu is now live on our website and many of you are already planning your Christmas and New Year parties – please book early to avoid disappointment at this busy time of year.
Thanks to the support of our loyal customers, we are in our fourth year at The Beehive and are proud to announce that we have been recognised by the following prestigious guides:
- Dining Pub of the Year for Berkshire in the Good Pub Guide 2019
- The Beehive is awarded 6 points inThe Good Food Guide 2019 (6 = ‘exemplary cookery skills, innovative ideas, impeccable ingredients and an element of excitement’)
- We also maintain our two AA rosettes and a listing in the Michelin guide.
This autumn we have introduced a new Classics Menu, a great value lunch and dinner menu offering 2 courses at £19.95 or 3 courses at £24.95. This menu will change daily and offer some wonderful classic dishes for a quick lunch or good value dinner, available now until the end of November.
The change of season brings a new menu. Autumn brings some wonderful produce. Game is now at its best and we will be offering Roast Partridge with Crab Apple Jelly, Hare Pies, Roast Teal and then Pheasant & Mallard later in the season.
October brings delicious Scallops and the return of Lemon Sole, Cornish Bass and amazing fresh Sprats. We pride ourselves on our fish and with daily deliveries from Looe in Cornwall our menu will always feature some of the best fish our UK waters have to offer.
Wild mushrooms, Cobnuts, Jerusalem Artichokes, Apples, Pears and Blueberries will also feature on our menus. A wonderful time of year in any kitchen.
We are also planning a selection of winter events for you to enjoy. We kick things off on Wednesday 17th October with a Wild Game Dinner and on 12th November we see the return of our Flavours of India dinner.
We are in the process of launching a programme of new lunchtime cookery classes, talks and demonstrations. The first of these will be a Christmas Canape, Party Food & Drinks Masterclass in late Nov/early Dec. Please keep an eye on our website for more details, or contact us.

Local Honey and Beautiful Candles from Oakdale Apiary
Pure and natural, beautiful honey. Our ‘girls’ forage on the finest hedgerows and meadows of Royal Windsor Great Park. This is a privately owned, passionately run haven for bees, providing natural raw honey and exquisite candles.
Beehive Christmas Puddings + Mince Pies
We have produced some beautiful Christmas puddings, in two sizes to serve two or six people. Our Beehive Christmas puddings are a tried and tested recipe and on sale now. We will also be able to supply you with our delicious homemade Mince Pies. Please ask the restaurant team for more details as we have a limited supply.

New Cookery Masterclasses & Lunch with Chef Dominic Chapman at The Beehive
Dates to be confirmed.
Learn to cook delicious recipes like a professional chef. We will be scheduling dates for lunchtime cookery and masterclasses led by chef Dominic Chapman. Cookery classes will show off the culinary seasons and will be followed by a 2-course lunch with a glass of fizz. Enjoy with a few friends! Dom will talk all things food, the best produce, seasonality, recipes and cooking.
Cookery masterclasses from 11:30am to 12:30pm, followed by lunch at 13:30pm.
£50 per person including a 2-course lunch with wine.
The first Masterclass will be Christmas Canapes, Nibbles, Treats & Drinks on 27th November
Wild Food Dinner with Chef & Professional Hunter Pascal Proyart
We are thrilled to announce a wonderful dinner from professional hunter and chef Pascal Proyart. Pascal will cook a delicious dinner with Dom and the Beehive team. This will be a dinner focusing on wild game, local produce and all the beautiful food available to us all and at its best now.
